So I asked out Cynthia.. we're dating now. All i'll say is that it's not all good.. and not all bad. We're not exclusively dating, which is a relief because it gives me a chance see if we do actually match. The bad side is that she might feel that it's not a match, and i'll end up getting too involved in someone that might not feel the same way.

So i'm going to a bbq this afternoon.. i'm excited. I'm also sick.. oh well. I'm going to start going to the conciencia meetings next quarter, and hopefully participate in the coke campaign. I'm also taking salsa classes, and kick boxing. Ja ja, should be fun!

I'm glad, and content. I think i've never enjoyed being single so much. It's a huge relief! Nothing to worry about, no complaints, no one to get angry at me for reasons that confuse me. Despite this, I still have a crush. I don't know what i'm going to do. Since she doesn't really seem to intersted. I think i'll just make one of those akward moments happen by blurting it out. Ja ja ja. Wait.. that's not funny. Blegh.

Oh yeah, I don't think i've ever had an ex as angry as harmony before... I don't want to bring it up around anyone because well no one cares, and because I don't want them to assume i'm not over her. I am over the relationship, but not so much over the friendship. I've decided not to make anymore attempts to talk to her, I already talked to her to see if we could at least be acquaintances. I also feel akward going to the conciencia libre meetings because I feel that they already know her really well, so I might be seen as the evil ex. I hope that's not the case.

I got a used ipod mini for 60 bucks.. I don't consider it selling out because i bought it second hand. 0_o

I also got a bunch of brazilian music from Jenn, I particulalry like. She also took me out Samba dancing.. uhh I don't move that way!

I also bought a weight bench.. haha.. yeah. Sigh. I'm going to get pumped up! Right.... Uhh, and this summer i'm leaving to mexico for two weeks w/ miguel and miguel. Jon-erik, Miguel, and I have been hanging out a lot, poor jon-erik.. he's poor and sleepy. Las Redes is going well. I've been sick lately, it sucks arse. I smell boogers everywhere.

Oh and by the way, sofia and eduardo, the rose you gave my mom is still alive. Fucking zombie rose.

Oh yeah, there's going to be a latin ska concert coming up soon people! Keep in mind, latin ska is the one with rhythm, ja ja just a joke. I do like the rhythm found in different types of latin ska more though, and they tend to have a message more of the time. While ska in english (from what i've heard) is either nonsense songs like bumblee bee tuna, or just anarchist like punk lyrics which make as much as sense as the making a ska song about bumble bee tuna. Don't get me wrong, i'm not for the government.. but i dunno. I see so many song just saying, "yeah yeah! fuck the system.." well, in punk at least. Voodoo glow skulls are good though..and the drop kick murphys are good too.. ok ok so I just like my ska in spanish (the skank to those songs looks better too!). Oh yeah, i'm not too sure if it's irish blood we have in our family.. it might be jewish. Some lady from mexico was telling me how her ancestors were jewish, and left spain during the crusades. The spanish kept extremely good records and followed jewish people all the way to mexico, some survived.

So, i saw V for vendetta... I liked it. I know it has a political message that's overly obvious (politics used to govern the masses). Expect the standard portrayals on gender and sexuality (eventhough they touch on how we tend to stigmatize people who don't fit the norm, they still do some of that "norming" stuff in their movie). Yup, and that bank movie that just came out is pretty good too (the one directed by spike lee).

I dunno.. but it's very immature when people ignore each other because they hate each other. Especially if you're going to have to be around each other. We're not in highschool anymore people. Eeesh.

So.. everyone is getting pissed off about banning the sale of mature games to those under 17. They claim that it's a violation of our rights etc. Frankly, i'm sorta sad that the gaming community is focused on this when there's so many other issues within gaming that matter much more (the portrayal of women, the perpetuation of race stereotypes etc.). Kid's can't buy porn right? They can't get into a rated R movie right? I don't understand how companies first amendment rights are prohibited by making it harder for young kids to get ahold of violent games... we already make it illegal to drink, buy porn, and smoke. I dunno, it does seems like the interest lies in making sure that they can still sell a game. If this isn't the case, why are game companies so concerned? Especially since if parents want to they can buy it for their kids.. I dunno. I really just don't think it makes a difference either way.
